The Advent of Advent Activities
The Advent of Advent is a time to prepare ourselves for this most holy season before the demands of the holidays overwhelm us. Spend time in fun and fellowship as we get ready for Christmas. Take time to appreciate the joy and beauty that is at the heart of the yuletide celebration.
Our pre-Advent theme is based on the Bible Study of the movie “It’s A Wonderful Life.” Let’s start of the season by celebrating all the gifts of life that God grants us, especially the life that started as a small baby born in a stable and laid in a feeding trough. Through the divine gifts of Goodness, Godliness, Prayers, and Miracles, we have the opportunity for redemption and the chance to “earn our wings.”
In November, we're just kicking off the season. Join us throughout Advent and enjoy a mix of the traditional and the new, as we continue to join with heaven and nature to proclaim the birth of our Savior.
The Gospel of It's a Wonderful Life Bible Study
The Gospel of It's a Wonderful Life Bible Study follows the story of George Bailey as we study the biblical principles of Goodness, Godliness, Prayers, and Miracles. In the DVD, author Stephen Skelton leads us through four video illustrations and four written lessons.
Each week we will meet at 6 p.m. for dinner and fellowship. The study will begin after dinner, when we will watch a short video followed by an interactive discussion. If you plan to attend, please sign up on the sheet in Fellowship Hall.

Decorating the Church
No, it’s not a typo! We will be decorating the Sanctuary on Monday, November 25. Our hope is that it will be less hectic and that the decorators can enjoy the fellowship. We will start with a Pot Luck dinner at p.m. (Last names A thru M bring a side dish; N thru Z bring a dessert or appetizer). Then we jump into the decorating. Open yourself up to the possibilities provided by thoughtful change!
